⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Update: I am humbly and truly sorry to this lady scheduler for posting this previous review because my review was not kind and diplomatic. This was a big mistake as a reviewer. As a reviewer, we make mistakes. My goal is honesty, diplomacy, and in a kindly manner. StarTran are met with challenges with little time to breathe. We have to remember to pass on kindness. Major irritation I have with this service is the fact that there are bus drivers who will show up to stops late, wander off for 10 minutes, and don't hold connecting busses for people. I understand the drivers are alotted to a break, however there should be a better set time for that rather than in the middle of a scheduled route. We riders do, at times, have places to be by a certain time and the consistent tardiness of the entire bus system is aggravating.
Some bus drivers are really nice others just don't really care. I have no problems with the busses themselves it's the bus drivers. Some of them you get on and your walking down the aisles to sit in a seat and they pull away from the stop while your still walking and you get jerked around. I nearly fell on my face just trying to take a seat. They should wait until everyone's seated. And I know I'm younger but there's also older people I've seen it happen to as well.
Would give 0 stars if I was able. Driver refused to allow me on the bus because of a close capped lid despite other people on the bus having one and allowing previously which forced me to miss class. I called to leave a complaint to StarTran and the lady on the phone kept interrupting me and refused to take my complaint and even hung up on me. I had to get the managers number to get anything done. Horrible service and extremely unprofessional behaviour from staff.
I take the 49th route after school whenever I don’t have a ride and I put down a one star because for a week now it’s been late! Not 5! Not 10! Not even 20! But 30 minutes late!! I know sometimes during after school traffic can be rough to get to point a to point b but 30 minutes late is just so wrong.. I don’t take the bus everyday but a few other people I know do and I would hate for them to have to wait outside like that everyday especially Including!
