My sister, Susie and I have been using StarTran ParaTransit for over two year’s. We are grateful for this service and what it offers. ParaTransit provides more than transportation which is detrimental for health and social outings. They go beyond our expectations. They have trained professionals that work as a team. UPDATE: Startran has been going downhill fast thanks to poor management and nothing happens when people make complaints. The worst was when a blizzard hit Lincoln and only gave two hours notice of the shutdown (7 pm, and didn’t make it clear if the last buses would be leaving downtown at 7pm or all buses would be downtown by 7 pm), even though buses have run in worse conditions. Not too happy about tonight's service. Waited for the 7.11 and 7.41 buses to get back to my vehicle. They never showed. Luckily there's a gas station to wait and stay warm in for a bit. 8.41 bus better come. Unreliable for weekdays. So much for doing any work tonight.
I catch the Trolley 2-5 days out of the week, sometimes multiple times a day. It is ALWAY either early or late. It never runs on time. I regularly wait THIRTY minutes for the Trolley, which us supposed to run every 15 minutes (every SEVEN minutes between 11am and 1pm). As many others have said, I regularly have trouble with one particular driver not stopping after I've pulled the bell (no matter how close to/far from the stop we are).
