RecommendedThe staff is professional and friendly - best ski tuners in the area and the bike shop is also made up of very skilled mechanics. They really care about getting you properly geared up and out on the mountain, whether on skis or a bike.
Stayed back late tonight to replace the broken spokes on my bike today, then gave the bike a quick tune. Awesome service and saved my mountain biking weekend.

Start Haus is the best place for race gear
I just had a boot fitting with Justin and he totally hooked me up. I’m a ski instructor and I love the boots I got a couple years ago at the Start Haus for free skiing but they are just not ideal for teaching. Justin did a great job getting me in a boot that I’ll be able to ski in and teach in. NO more whining that my feet hurt....I’ll leave that to my students. Welcome to Truckee Justin. I’m sure Colorado is missing your skills!
The bike mechanics at Start Haus are super knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldn't take my bike anywhere else (or my skis for that matter).
