We had an amazing vacation at Starstruck the only downfall is the very rough roads from the highway to the domes. The domes are equipped with everything we needed and we loved the gas fire pits.

The StarStruck dome was a highlight of our trip to Big Bend NP. It is a bit far from the park, but the experience of staying there is worth every extra mile you have to drive to the Big Bend.

We stayed at Starstruck mid-October and absolutely loved it!!! In our area, there were 4 domes moderately spaced so you didn’t feel too near to your neighbors. Make sure you have at least a small SUV and drive since the roads are very, very rocky. I stayed outside from 7p-10p and set alarms to get up at midnight, 3a and 7a (since sunrise wasn’t til 8a). What an experience! We happened to get lucky and have clear skies both nights we were there. It was quiet and peaceful. We wished the telescope was a bit better but as dark as it was we saw the night sky well. The WiFi worked great, so no worries there. We had a visitor peeping in our windows early one morning. It was a Jack Rabbit. We never heard wolves howling at night, wish we would have. I'm certainly glad we did not encounter any snakes or scorpions though!
