The owner; Don, and his wife are friendly and knowledgeable people that are always willing to chat, and always willing to give you a fair price, and sometimes a deal on original Milsurp gear. While WW2 and Korean war era cartridge belts; or well made reproductions, are going for $100 dollars or more, Don sold me a perfectly serviceable M1923 dismounted cartridge belt made in 1942 by Russel Athletic for $60. They get new stuff in every week, so you never know what you'll find there. I highly recommend Stars and Stripes!

The woman that owns this store assaulted my husband with her broom. She hates truck drivers. My husband is also a combat wounded Vietnam Veteran. Let that sink in a moment....

StarsandStripes has been my GO TO place for getting MRE's for the past couple of years. After being stationed in Iceland and sometimes getting snow-locked in the barracks these have been quite a treat and high on my list. There are times when I go camping on a whim and keep a few of these (if not the whole box) in the trunk of my car along with my tent. Much better than Dicks, Big-5 or Sports Authority...IMHO. I will be a returning customer as long as I live in San Diego County...and then may have to mail order after that.
