Ken Starr's journey into the world of winemaking began in 1952, as he learned the craft from his father. His passion for wine was further fueled during his time in the USAF in the early 1960s when he visited numerous wineries in Europe, particularly admiring the German style of winemaking. From 1966 to 1977, Starr honed his skills by crafting his own wines.
