RecommendedMy first visit there was a few weeks ago for the screening of director Ava DuVernay's film 13th. It was a great turnout, healthy discussions, and fun socializing. This is a one of a kind social justice bar. Proud to have it in my neighborhood.
On October 9th, I posted a question on the StarrBar Facebook page asking if the debate watch would show the DemocracyNow extended debate version with Jill Stein. The response from the page admin was yes. However, when I got there, they decided it would take too long to show the DemocracyNow version. Today, I can no longer find my question that I posted on this Facebook page. The answer saying they would show DemocracyNow seems to be gone from the page. Hi Ron, our sincere apologies for going with another stream that night. We welcomed all and no party affiliation to the bar. We do typically stream the Democracy Now! feed, but opted for a stream that was showing the debate in real time. We were unable to switch out of stream midway; we did not want to disturb the rest of the viewers. We truly appreciate you coming out.
