The Austin Rodeo - fuggitaboutit. – I WILL NEVER GO TO THE AUSTIN RODEO AGAIN. Overpriced, overly-loud, they made us walk a half-mile thru mud and the tacky amusement park just to go to the Xtreme bulls show. We were all dressed up for the rodeo, one of us in her $800 lizard boots-- ruined by their parking catastrophe. Then I saw a pig ON SHOW who couldn't walk they had fed it up so much, making it so fat it couldn't stand. Sad. Disgusting. The whole thing is a giant rip-off with animals suffering waaaay too much.
Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo we will not be back! – I am from Cleveland Texas an my children are members of Tarkington 4-H in Liberty County. This was our first year to show in the majors. We attended the San Antiono, Houston , and Austin livestockshow. Cameron (12yrs old) place 9th in Houston, Natalie (10) placed 8th in Houston.They both received a ribbon made auction for those places.
