Sailing on Star Flyer is unlike any other cruise I have taken. It is truly a voyage under sail. The ship is a four-masted clipper with space for about 170 passengers we has about 130 on our sailing, small enough that you never feel lost in a crowd but large enough to be comfortable with spacious decks, cozy cabins, and plenty of spots to relax. Over all, this was an enjoyable trip. Leeward Islands in March Pro: • A 3 person cabin on the Commodore Deck with porthole was spacious for 2 people. Plenty of storage area for clothing & suitcases fit nicely under the bed. • Bathroom was understandably tiny, but totally functional. We sailed on this ship in 2018, the Virgin Islands; it was a fantastic cruise and experience thus we decided to do this cruise from Panama to Costa Rica. Disappointing is the only way to describe it; something has definitely changed with this company and not for the better. Star Clipper is a beautiful ship but is showing her age and is in need of many repairs. Took our first star clippers cruise. Fantastic experience to the BVI. Very attentive crew that made certain we got to destinations and excursions before the big cruise ships pulled in. They did everything in their power to make our trip pleasant!
