Had A very bad experience in 2015 with vet tech paralyzed my 15 yr old dog.. put down 4 days later.
I'm about to move to Germany for university, and before I leave, I want to sincerely thank Dr. Barboza, Jalna and Jake at the front desk, and the entire team at Staples Animal Hospital. My cat Butter developed a corneal ulcer and corneal edema in summer 2023. My previous regular vet referred us to a specialist in Toronto, where Butter underwent two cross-linking surgeries within six months (August 2023 and February 2024) and was on up to five different eye drops daily — with minimal improvement. I was referred to see Dr. Barbossa by my vet for a growth on my two year old corgi-mix's eye. I was quite worried having to see a specialist for a mass on such a young dog, but Dr. Barbossa was extremely patient, honest and friendly. I appreciate her wanting to avoid unnecessary (and I assume costly) surgeries. I'm so happy and relieved to know my dog is in good hands... and that my wallet isn't being tossed down a rabbit hole of expensive and needless procedures. Thank you Staples Animal Hospital!
