Absolutely worst store I have had the misfortune of going to. After over 15. years of being a loyal Staples customer, I will make to take my business to the competitor.
They are always too busy to help the customer. I was just there on Friday, and they had three associates hanging around the register socializing about their plans for the weekend. The manager actually came to help me, but he was so pushy and annoying until I got distracted and purchased the wrong item. Now I have to go back and exchange it. The best experience I have ever had in Staples is in the one on Harrison and Maynard, in Harrision Pointe shopping center. The Garner store is a fly by night operation.
Went to staples in St. George, Utah to purchase a laptop. Sales rep. was honest and let me know he had doubts that what was currently in stock in the store was barely suitable for my high ends immediate needs if at all. I purchased one anyways and he was correct. Upon returning the item Krystin was very helpful and professional and went out of her way to help me as I am on vacation and 1500 miles from home. I went to the staples in Manchester, NH, for a broken computer. I was told that the $69.99 that I put down would be rein bused if I didn't have the computer fixed or it would go towards the repair. The repair well ways to much for a 2 yr old laptop. So I decided to buy a new laptop. When I asked for the $69.99 to goes the new one they told me "no, that it wasn't refunded if I didn't have the repair. I was very upset about this whole process. I would like to speak specifically about the Copy and Print Center of the Boone, NC Staples. I'm with a local business, Tar Heel Basement Systems, and the C&P Center is our go-to place for so many of our daily needs. The entire staff is always friendly, and all make sure to acknowledge each customer waiting if there is a line to be assisted. Villa in particular is fantastic. I took my computer in for repair on 2/22/13 & after 2 weeks, hours spent at the store, at least 6 trips back, paying them over $350.00 it still has problems. A true computer nightmare!!! I will be taking it to a real repair shop & taking them to court. Beware!!!!
Buyer Beware - Do not go to this store! Last Saturday I purchased a laptop at this store, and paid $99 for "set up" service, which was supposed to include installation of any programs I purchased and transfer of my files from my old laptop to the new laptop + up to 4 hours of training on Windows 8. I went back and forth from my home to the store at least 4 times over the course of the weekend, bringing them my old laptop, checking on the status of the data transfer. Store general manager for this one does not know how to do his job.
The people in the copy department are amazing. Kristina, a clerk in the department possesses the best customer service and efficient skills that I have encountered in many years. Hats off to Kristina for making my visits to the copy center so pleasant.
