When I had my test, they don’t tell you that they just recommend what type of glasses they think you should have. I wanted single vision lenses for reading and they wanted to put me in a progressive lens which of course cost a lot more. It took a day for them to get the optometrist to change the prescription. It took me almost 4 weeks to get the glasses turns out they never ordered them and when I got the glasses, they were way too strong of a prescription and they kept saying oh just wear them for a while. This was my encounter with Stanton optical on Sheridan. My wife and I went there because the last optometrist wouldn’t accept the new insurance offered thru my place of employment. First of all, I called the phone number to arrange an appointment. The gentleman was very pleasant. Stanton could see us that day. It wasn’t until I received the conformation text, that I found out the appointment was for McCallan TX….not Lawton OK….so another phone call ensured. I’m pretty sure this is a call center scam made physical in Lawton. I was told that TRICARE didn’t cover my glasses, so I believed them and paid almost $400 because the lady seemed very nice and trustworthy. Turns out that’s a complete lie, and on top of that, the glasses I got were horrible quality that didn’t match my prescription. Now, I feel like they’re dodging my refund. Will update if I get my refund.
Switched to Staton this year after finding my Dr was cheating us and insurance company by double charging us. Sales manager Kaneasha was so helpful and so much fun you work with. I ended up getting glasses for reading, a year supply of contacts for distance AND prescription sunglasses! The clinic manager was awesome and so perfect with her job.
