I went in Saturday for contacts eye exam. I told the tech what my current scrip was. (note not eye dr) I was told I was actually at to high of a prescription for the last few years. I got told I had to order contacts with the exam. After exam Im told they cant get them in for 10 to 14 days and priced several hundred for the same contact brand I've had just at a lower level. I am extremely disappointed in Staton Optical in Holland, OH. I called and scheduled an annual eye exam for my son and myself. During the call, I directly asked if they accepted my current insurance provider. The associate verbally stated yes. Once we arrived at the appointment, I was then told that they do not bill insurance directly. Instead, I was told they would be happy to charge me their price for services; however, if I chose not to purchase contacts or glasses that day, I would be charged an additional 20% upcharge. ... read more
Edit: it’s extremely upsetting and messed up they found this review. Went through my medical documents to find a matching name. Took the phone number off that account and called me over this review. That’s seems very illegal !! This place feels off…. I don’t think I ever received my test results fro eye exam, and I never saw/ meet a doctor. Just the assistants and one “nurse”. I’m not a huge big fan of staff using their phones during my exam with my files open on the computer. I guess I can understand wanting to play/text on... read more

Let me start by giving the HUGEST shout out to Miss Ashley!!! Talk about customer service the way it should be, she was absolutely PHENOMENAL!
