I had extremely high hopes due the supposed reputation of Stan’s, but was plagued with nothing but headaches and issues for 7 consecutive months while they repeatedly failed to complete my trans rebuild properly. The work was performed under an extended warranty, yet they damaged parts and expected me to find and purchase replacements out of pocket to fix their mistakes. Brought my old Jeep ZJ in for oil changes on the diffs and transfer case, and to examine front diff due to previously diagnosed milky fluids. A bearing kit was needed. Several months later I noticed a very minor pinion seal leak (but it could be a leak from above. I did not check that out). They diagnosed and said the sleeve was not fitting tightly enough (I was worried it was a yoke issue). Everything was replaced and corrected and it’s running great. Very disappointed with my experience here. My vehicle’s front bumper was damaged while the car was in their care. I reported it immediately and was asked to send a repair quote, which I did. After sending the quote, I did not hear back . I later went to the shop in person, and the receptionist told me she had spoken with the owner, who was apparently waiting for a response from their shop insurance regarding the damage. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We brought in our 2003 dodge ram diesel with only 120,000kms for transmission shifting problems going from 3rd gear back to second and all over the place, also not engaging into overdrive. The owner “Jim” said it needed a full rebuild, and trusting his diagnosis, we went ahead with the $6000 repair.
