As much as I love Stanley Martin Homes, the buyer experience is horrible. I've tried to buy homes at two different locations that they were building and both experiences were bad. The first time I tried to buy a condo I tried to go through the mortgage company that they used and they were very unresponsive. We sent in our information and it took nearly two weeks to get a response after we called repeatedly and finally had to ask the sales rep to contact him.
