The staff there seemed a bit unsure about the menu, as they needed to check to confirm if certain items actually existed. Plus, there was a noticeable mismatch between the printed menu and the one on the screen. As for the food, the oxtail and beef stew were both nicely cooked and tender, but the chicken gizzards were on the tough side—so tough, in fact, that it felt like a workout for my jaw.
This place was so delicious! I got the rice, plantains, chicken skewers and beignets for dessert. The chicken was wonderfully cooked, the plantains were delicious and the rice was spicy! The beignets are a must have, so good. The food was so fresh and delicious. The service was so sweet.
Very friendly and personable staff. And the food is fantastic. Extremely authentic!!
The food is so so good, but the hours that they’re open are so weird and inconvenient. Closing at 7 o’clock in this day and age is crazy. Like come on stay open until at least 8:30. I love the food but there’s been so many times where I’m craving it past 7 o’clock, but I simply can’t order so I go for something else. Y’all are losing business with this early closing time!!!
