Been in here three times, and haven't had a positive experience yet; actually had two actively bad experiences with the person who greeted us being wildly unpleasant when we entered. The food here is okay, but it's not great and the drinks are less good than the food. They have a few fun board games and some arcade games but those are mostly broken and even on 'free' game nights you still have to pay to use many of them. We went to Standard Rec the first time a few years ago and it was not a great experience. The food was meh. The board games were missing pieces and the “free” games in the back were mostly broken or off. For some odd reason, we decided to try it again last night. Same result. We should have just left when we got the weird greeting from the hostess, who seemed really invested in wanting us to sit at the high top, when all the tables were free, and seemed to think it was odd that we wanted menus. What a cool place, laid back and 90s themed.
Visited during brunch. The MCluckin Chicken Benny was delicious. It was a twist on Chicken & waffles, but with a flare and delicious. Would have tried the burger but it's beef mixed with pork and my husband doesn't eat pork. Service was good; very attentive. Great place to visit with kids 3+ years old. Definitely recommend.
Games were great for kids and adults. Food was delicious.
