Watch out! Customer service actively tries to block assistance. Company refuses to update contact information and didn't pay taxes for our loan. The lawyers recommendation is to refinance, which is too expensive! Not to mention the terrible website and difficulty even making payments! Do everything you can to use a different lender!
My home flooded recently and I needed Standard Mortgage to endorse my FEMA check. I called customer service for 5 days and never spoke to a person. I left multiple messages and/or stayed on hold up to an hour. No one ever answered or responded. I finally selected the new loan option and Tricia Mier answered. Entering into a Mortgage contract with Standard Mortgage was seamless. I had not done this is 35 years much less on my own so my apprehension levels were high. They supported and guided me through the process giving me the confidence I needed to reduce my stress level. Even what I considered the unimportant questions on my part were answered immediately.
