The following has been my experience after purchasing an engine for a 2004 Honda Accord from Standard Auto Wreckers. My initial 1 star review now goes to 2 stars because they did give me my money back for this engine, but it seems i was lucky as many have claimed this wasnt the case when they tried to make a warranty claim. If you do make a purchase, be sure it is clear on the invoice that you did infact pay for the "gold warranty" as there seemed to be a bit of confusion since the engine was priced with the one year warrant... read more

Let the picture speak for itself... I paid almost 1000$ for this engine including the one year warranty. im hoping they stand behind their word. But judging by the countless negative reviews I'm doubtful that they will. Prove me wrong Standard...
Unwilling to communicate and actually blocked me for no reason after I had asked a simple question
DO NOT BUY I have previously left a 5 star review as at that time I had no issues dealing with them. I own an automotive shop and Standard has been one of my main suppliers. However the quality of parts and the service has drastically declined! I recently purchased an engine and installed it in a customers vehicle only to find out it had internal damage.
