Lack of transparency and neglectful practices. Proceed with extreme caution. I purchased a 2015 VW Jetta from Standard Auto of Tampa on May 15th. I was told the vehicle had been fully serviced and was ready to drive. Everyone knows the worst time to buy a car is when you have to, and yet there I was in exactly that predicament. The last time I bought a car it took all day, I had to go to 3 different places, and talked to 12 different people before I was able to sign and go. It was not like that at all here! We purchased a Honda Civic in March. The salesman was only interested in getting the money and getting us out of there. We found that the radio doesn't work at all. he salesman said he'd get it fixed. They decided they'd have to get a new one. Of course, they never called to schedule putting in the radio. The car also needs either the engine or transmission mounts. I have called them numerous times and they refused to answer my calls or messages. I wouldn't recommend Standard Auto to my worst enemy.
