I attended here about 4 years ago, and I'm living the life I've never dreamed I could! This program helped change my life even though I wasn't necessarily ready then to become the sober person I am today, the kindness and generosity and pure heart of everyone apart of the staff and community there gave me so much hope and love. All the staff at stairways is wonderful, the clients even better. The very second I stepped into the Newcastle house, I was welcomed into a warm and safe environment by the house manager and instantly felt the most loving and caring that I haven't been around compared to any other programs I've been to in the state of California. I almost gave up and went back to where I'm from but stairways was my last chance at saving my life and so far they've become the family that I've lost. Thanks you to everyone at stairways.

Stairways was such a good place until they started body brokering people in from Oklahoma and became solely involved in insurance fraud. The people preaching their message are doing the exact opposite in their own lives. It’s all about the money here now & your treatment comes with a price. Some people in that community, their price was their life. Wrongful death suits and life insurance policies? Save your life & take yourself elsewhere.
