Stopped in recently for diesel and got a card reader error message on the first attempt at pump even though the card is valid and was inserted correctly. Tried again and got through all prompts to begin fueling but no fuel was dispensed. Tried again, card reader error. Tried a different pump and encountered the same issues. Went inside requesting assistance, staff member offered to turn pump on inside but I had to tell her how much I wanted. I have been thinking about the brisket sando, deli counter sandos, and jerky for the last two years. Can’t wait to come back through on tour in a few weeks. Gatorade cans in the ice box tell ya everything you need to know if you are a person with taste for the finer things in life. They don’t make em like this anymore.
They are not open 24 hours as their hours say. Never went in as they were closed.
Friendly staff (owners?) and a good selection. Barbecue beef sandwich was good. Good rest stop between the Hill Country and East Texas.
