My wife and I absolutely loved both stays at Stag Leap Cabins! We just got back today from an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Doe Stowey Cabin and earlier this month we stayed there at the Creek Cabin. Both cabins were absolutely perfect! After a wonderful stay at the Creek Cabin earlier this month, we were not sure we would enjoy a different cabin as much but Doe Stowey was simply amazing! We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods. It was the perfect peaceful getaway—quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. The cabin was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with everything we needed to feel comfortable. Waking up to the sounds of birds and enjoying coffee on the porch while taking in the wooded views was such a treat. The hosts were excellent, kind and attentive to anything we needed. This is such a special place to stay. I can't recommend it highly enough. I came to East Texas on a birding trip and birding the Stag Leap property along Bonaldo Creek was one of the highlights of my trip. It's tranquil and calm and I loved everything about my stay and if you're a birder, don't miss out on walking the property. I saw 30 species in one morning! I would absolutely stay here again and will on my next East Texas adventure.
Beautiful wooded location. Owners responsive. Cabin beautiful and clean and private. Excellent for peaceful walks and birding. Nacadoches right nearby which is wonderful.
