I recently completed a six-week stay at Stag Leap in the Dow Stowey cabin while attending a graduate program at SFA. As a single female staying alone, I felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. If you are considering booking these cabins, do yourself a favor and book it! This place is just about as close as you can get to heaven on earth. If you are looking for a cabin in the middle of the woods, not too far away from the city, and a place that will immediately put your soul at ease... this is your place. The owners were amazing and understood all of our needs and helped us when we had to change our dates. We will be back and have already told everybody we know and telling them they need to go.
My wife and I absolutely loved both stays at Stag Leap Cabins! We just got back today from an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Doe Stowey Cabin and earlier this month we stayed there at the Creek Cabin. Both cabins were absolutely perfect! After a wonderful stay at the Creek Cabin earlier this month, we were not sure we would enjoy a different cabin as much but Doe Stowey was simply amazing! We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods. It was the perfect peaceful getaway—quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. The cabin was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with everything we needed to feel comfortable. Waking up to the sounds of birds and enjoying coffee on the porch while taking in the wooded views was such a treat. The hosts were excellent, kind and attentive to anything we needed.
