I visited Dr. Boyer today for an appointment and was a bit apprehensive. The check in was easy. Her nurse was friendly and helpful. The appointment went much better than I had anticipated. I shared with Dr. Boyer all of my concerns, and she treated me with kindness and compassion. I left feeling relieved and in a much better head space. Dr Boyer spoke down to me and treated me like I was an idiot for not knowing which OTC medications to try. I have never seen a doctor treat a patient so disrespectfully.
Drove an hour to get there for them to say you canceled the appointment ummm no I didn't and then say they called and you ask what number and they say we don't have a number on file. It's been something everytime we go for 23 years. Pancreatist is pretty serious why would I cancel the appt??? Said Dr was mad cause haven't been there in 5 years and goes on to say well there was a lot going on that day. No excuse.
Dr. Boyer is an excellent doctor. She takes the time she needs to figure out what is wrong. I once went to her when I was dealing with depression. She spent an entire hour with me. I know this didn't make other patients happy but I was very pleased. Another time she was concerned about my alcohol use and she went with me to an AA meeting. Tell me another family doctor that would do the same!
Dr. Boyer has been our family doctor for many years and kept my late chronically ill husband alive much longer than any other practice would have. She is thorough, caring and compassionate and takes time to explain and listen. She is not only my family physician but my parents as well. We love and respect her. Her office is always accommodating and at any time staff is not, it is without her knowledge, and she is quick to address the issue when she is informed of such. My family highly recomme
I would not recommend Dr. Boyer as a caring physician ... Her office/staff is to rushed to listen to the patients concerns (without making them feel bad) and her staff come into the patients room with angry attitudes ... She stereo types her patients and puts a diagnosis on there medical chart without the correct doctor ever seeing them. Like charting a patient with emphysema that's never seen a pulmonary doctor...... (last visit was 5/1/17 and will not go back) She's not my Doctor....
I admire & trust Dr Boyer so much. I dislike very much the office no longer except My Crappy ins Humana. I now have to pay out of pocket fully to see her, I don't feel safe switching Doctor's at this point in my life. With so many health issues, switching Dr now would be hazardous to my health.The last thing I need is a new doct changing my medications & not caring. My income only being 476 a month I pray I can afford her when I need her ty Robin Scott
Worked in various hospitals for over 20 years in clinical and surgical areas. Due to education and work experience became an inspector of DHEC inspecting Doctors offices and Hospitals for 18 years. When in Dr. Boyer office asked her questions to clarify and fully understand her diagnosis. She became belligerent and yelled at me asking if I were questioning her. I told her that I was not but I wanted more information so I could be a well informed about my health care. Also happened to wife. Moved
