I would give zero stars if that were an option. I took my daughter in and was treated like an overreacting parent. Benjamin Jones barely examined her and immediately told me it was "just viral" and that there was no need to run any tests. The only testing that was done was a finger-prick blood sugar test, and I had to push for even that. This was after I informed them that my daughter has a medical condition that leaves her immunocompromised. If I could give a zero for this St. Vincent ER, I would. Among other health issues, I am going through my second battle with breast cancer and have been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis for over 15 years. I mention this because pain is something I cope with on a daily basis. I mainly use low doses of oral medication at home, auditory and visual distractions, physical therapy, or most times just wait out the pain waves when they come. First of all, if there were an option this would be a zero star review. This is supposed to be a "faith-based" location. Not a single Bible in the room. Second, cleanliness is not something they understand. In two days the only time the sheets were changed was when the patient vomited in bed. The only cleaning, and I say that loosely, was removing trash from cans. They take advantage of older patients. The staff assumes that since the patients are older they can just allow student "nurses" to come and go and practice on them... read more
