RecommendedIn 1974 I went to outpatient treatment at St Peters Hospital now 16644 days later I am living proof this can work . I thank God for all I have been given in life so much of that is because of a counselor who spoke with me when I was leaving.
I desperately needed to go. I was dying inside. It wasn't my first there. My reasons for going this time were totally my choice. Are there crazy rules? Times You feel like you're being treated like a 6th grader. But bottom line, everyone there wants you to get better. Shout out to Harold. He loves each and everyone of us. This place saved my life!
I had a wonderfully positive experience there after a slip. I went through alcohol detox at the hospital, and then SPARC. I was there for only 14 days, I wanted, and probably needed at least a month. Didn't anyone tell the insurance companies that there is no such thing as a 14 day rehab. However...on 4/19 I will have 6 months sober. You get out what you put into it...it's your life, and my recovery is my responsibilty.
