Our youngest fell in the bathtub and we were scared to drive all the way to the hospital, so we went right around the corner to SMFD and asked them to check him out. They were all so attentive and immediately started tending to our little guy. They made sure he was okay and there was no immediate emergency then transported us over to Norton Suburban. They were so attentive, sweet, and patient. So, so, so thankful for these guys!

These men are all consummate professionals, I came home from work and found my German husband had fallen trying to get the remote that had fallen next to his chair, I had tried for 1 1/2 hours to get ems on 911 and they were all busy but as time went on I became desperate as his pain increased. I called my daughter and she suggested st Matthews fire station. I called and they were very busy but checked and realized there were a lot of emergency staff out, they came and helped us with compassion ... read more
Several months ago they responded for my brother, found him unconscious and non responsive one evening. They responded quickly, professionally and prepared for any situation. My brother is alive and well but for one reason, St. Mathews Fire/EMT department. Thank you and may every responder return to the station safely - every run.
