Took my 9 month old son last night in due to my daughter dropping him accidentally. Noticed his leg was hurting. When I got there I was seen fast but the doctor on call that night had a nasty attitude she dismissed my worries regarding his injury told me he looked fine i insisted he was hurt she gave him an xray. St. Mary’s medical Center childrens EMERGENCY room was the worst medical experience I’ve ever witnessed for a children’s emergency room. On arrival I had to flag down a nurse to get me through the registration process for my 6 year old nephew. The initial nurse (male) came to check his vitals in the area with the windows near the front doors. The treatment me and my nephew received from this initial nurse was disgusting and unacceptable. Horrible, how their doctor in the children emergency room told me I should have went to pediatric associate instead of here , they do everything there . With an attitude like she didn’t want to help or deal with my son . Once I asked for her name & information( Cristina Lugo) she tried to change her story . It’s a hospital, you’re a doctor. The doctor with the silver short hair in the children’s emergency room showed a lack or care and professionalism. I came in concerned about my one year olds rash and he basically told me to go figure it out and that it will clear on it’s on. With no guidance on how to treat it. Very unprofessional and careless. Does not represent what Saint Mary’s stands for when it comes to children’s care.
