I was very pleased with the wonderful care I received during my extended physical therapy after bi-lateral knee replacement. The staff was/is courteous, helpful and giving assistance as needed. I was also glad to have the same therapists, which I feel enabled me to push for successful treatments and/or overall outcome.
Truly question the intelligence and competence of a physician employed by this Urgent Care. On two separate occasions I went to this Urgent Care 1 with my son when he had pneumonia was given instructions on relieving symptoms that my son position could not stop laughing at how we were to administer a nasal spray or in taking Pedialyte on an empty stomach. LONG WAIT and VERY EXPENSIVE! My son had an ear infection on Easter Sunday and so we went to urgent care to receive treatment. We spent over an hour waiting for care, in the exam room, with no way to pass the time. No books, no magazines, no TV. Doctor was nice enough for a simple exam and diagnosis. We got the bill and it was $350! Outrageous! WE will NEVER go back there again. Steer clear if you would like to save yourself some money!
I have taken all of my family to St. Luke's Urgent Care WingHaven. Children with fractures, and husband with lacerations. Everyone was kind, caring and compassionate. Physicians are extremly competent and caring. Definitely recommend them to all. They are even open on the holidays.
The facility is nice and the staff are friendly. One issue I had was they billed me another $75 on top of my co-pay. According to my insurance company that St Luke had charged me for an emergency visit not an urgent care. My insurance company called St Luke and confirmed it was an urgent care and I should have not paid the extra $75 and soon I'll get a refund. DO NOT USE St. Luke's Urgent care in Kirkwood. Their poor billing practices cause the insurance company to not link the doctor to the center so you will get charged out of Network charges for an In Network Urgent care. I am telling everyone I know to not user this center. Boycott this center until their corrupt billing practices are terminated.
I went to this Urgent Care on September 13th, 2013 in the early afternoon. I was born with a chronic health condition that effects my joints and muscles and can cause me intense pain at any given moment. My primary doctor has me with an ongoing pain medication to function with the everyday movement. There has been times when I would wake up in horrible pain after sleeping in a weird position. Food was horrible,pricey, and never open when you wanted to eat. The nurses for my daughter in maternity were not friendly and made family members very uncomfortable with their attitudes. you would think the nurses would at least smile when you went to the nursery to look at the babies, but they looked at us like we were going to kidnap a baby. Need some changes in attitudes up there. Room nurses to my daughter were very good to her can not complain about that very helpful.
Personal and compassionate care!!! They took great care of me and made sure my family was well taken care of and informed as well. The nursing staff was terrific!!!
