I love all the facility and NP’s at St Luke’s! I love Dr. Hunifeld too. I’ve been a patient with them for quite a few years. That being said, when I had serious concerns and felt I needed to see Dr Hunifeld himself I was told he no longer sees any patients. I want a facility that has a doctor that I can see when I feel I need. For basic care and prevention the NP is great. In fact I love my NP there. But she is just an NP. A Miracle is Worth the Time I have been a patient of Dr. Larry R. Hunefeld for 7 years. He was the first physician I thought about calling when I had reason to believe I was pregnant. I got into his office for my pregnancy confirmation exam within 3 weeks (my schedule conflicts were the problem), he continually urged me to seek proper tests and screenings despite my ability to afford healthcare and his office assisted me in being able to get Medicaid to pay for the necessary care my baby and I desperately needed. Least caring staff I have ever encountered. Often saw Erica whom has a bedside manner that seems to elude herself as the superior in the room. Very frustrating in a medical setting to not have a connection with patients. I was thrilled to change doctors especially after she repeatedly ignored my concerns.
Hunefeld Larry R. M.D. A very caring doctor. The only thing is you have to wait two weeks to get an appointment with him. If you call and ask for an appointment you are automatically referred to see the nurse practitioner. This is OK, but sometimes you just need a doctor. If you don't mind the wait to see a doctor I would highly recommend this doctor. Also, a family member had a minor procedure done by this doctor and had an infection. Never want to change! I have had many experiences with family doctors, and never found one as great as Skip! He has always been there for my large family and his staff is very great!
