Was not at all impressed with the care and treatment of the residents. Nursing was often under-staffed and was abusive and neglectful of residents needs. Many incidents of medication errors made by poorly trained med aides and L.P.Ns. Nutrition services poorly managed and staff poorly trained. Residents dietary requirements not followed. I think that St Lukes care is the best in town. I had a relative as a patient there and I have a seen that they care for the people they have been entrusted to look after. They were great when we needed help as well as when my father-in-law needed them. They have Great meals for them and the rooms are clean and for the most part, are not like a hospital but as you would have at home for care.
Wonderful place to work and wonderful place to have relatives taken care of. They are always willing to help and it is very close to the Hospital if needed. They take short term and long term admissions.
I just wanted to let everyone who is considering admitting a loved one (short or long term) into a nursing home setting that St. Lukes has one of the best(if not the best) facility, Nursing and Administration staff in Kearney NE.
