My wife and I came in on the morning of 7/11/25. They were slow and still were took about 2 hours to get us to a room. The check in ladies and triage nurse were a joke. They just kept talking to the security and were oblivious to my wife throwing up blood. When I told them they said that they would check on her and get us in to a room quick. I have normally loved this ER with amazing doctors in the past. Yesterday's experience was definitely not the same. I had gone in due to oral angioedema in the morning where they attempted to give me a albeuteral nebulizer and we had to tell them that it would put me into anaphylaxic shock with my chronic illnesses. They finally gave me the treatment that I needed but has postponed epi 4 hours after it had turned into anaphylaxis. whoever was the charge nurse on duty on 6/17/25 at 250 pm was not very friendly or encouraging. have a newborn and was told no accommodations would be made(no bassinet or nursery option)plus if I’m the patient and baby comes, someone else must come to be able to care for baby. this wasn’t an option for me at the moment and may not be an option for some ever. that being said mom being separated from baby so small does more harm than good and unsure why this would ever be recommended.

My experience here was unacceptable at best. I was escorted to the Emergency Department directly from the adjacent Urgent care for a possible pulmonary embolism.. I was checked in and asked to wait. I was never triaged and nobody ever checked on me not once. The ER was quite busy but I waited and waited and waited and waited. After an hour and a half I inquired how much longer it may be and I was told several more people were in front of me. Nobody likes to go to the ER. We've had several experiences with St Luke's ER, mostly good, occasionally subpar. Today, I simply had to write a review today just to shout out Dr Chase Ricker. Absolutely phenomenal at taking the time to explain what he's looking for, why issues might be happening, and finding solutions for the problems. He was easily the best ER doctor we've seen. If we have to come back to the Nampa ER, we will know we are in good hands if he is working.
