I picked up a free-to-me copy of the newspaper in the hotel lobby this morning and had the opportunity to browse it while enjoying coffee at the most wonderful coffee shop in Clayton, Kaldi's. Local, regional and national news in this paper. Saint Louis is deep into sports so there is high school, university and national sports coverage which I was able to skip over. I subscribed to the digital service. Before the 30 day period (I think it was 11 days before the expiration), I got charged. I contacted to cancel, and I was told I had to answer why I was canceling. Huh?? Why do I have to give a reason? Then, I asked for a refund, but they said, no, because it was stated in their policy. Apparently, you have to contact them WITHIN 10 days since you start subscription to cancel the subscription, despite the fact their website proudly states "Subscribe $0.99 for 1 month". Do not sign up for their $0.99 one month trial or their service. The website to cancel your trial or subscription is glitchy and does not work. Then they charge you prematurely at 3 weeks for renewal which last I checked is not a month. Someone should file a class action for their shady business practices. Will not be back!
