So an update on the below. Went to their program against better judgement, got injured and they just ghosted me for nearly 2 weeks. Called to get a copy of the incident report and can’t get one. Reception has been told not to put my call through to anyone. I don’t want them to pay for the injury at all, just improve practices in future but they are the ones suggesting getting their lawyers involved. More stressed after the program than even before. I had a beautiful time at this hospital, lowered my anxiety and ocd. I will be back.
Got terminated from the program with only a couple days left with no reasons whatsoever just over Chinese whispers from other people in the program who where doing the wrong thing and then tried to re engage recently to give it another go to no answer back and just completely ignore my cry for help to better myself. What kind of people don’t try help someone who is trying to get the help they want in an environment they’re used to and have had no problems before ? Just wrong.
Given the state of the mental health system, I wouldn't recommend not using SJOG's services, but I feel very uneasy about this organisation's inability to respond to serious concerns, and would suggest that prospective patients take a cautious approach. I'll start with pros: - Most of the staff here are genuinely hardworking and dedicated mental health professionals who genuinely care about their patients, and want to help. - The grounds are beautiful, patients now all have single rooms with ensuites. - There are a range of ... read more
