Where do I start…. I was booked in for a knee surgery last December 2025… Check-in was hit and miss… as was my surgery - the nurse I saw immediately prior to going into surgery was lovely, but a couple of the others not-so-much… I woke to a bloke who didn’t even speak to me - as soon as he knew I was awake he started pushing me down to my room. I am incredibly grateful to SJOG Murdoch for the exceptional care I received throughout my pregnancy and delivery. Called ahead to see if their is a wait time. it's a private hospital so expected to pay the obligatory excess and admission costs. Get admitted, the hospital source's a third party surgeon where I will be an additional 2.5k out of pocket. Why do I even bother with private health cover and they should have to inform U of these costs prior to admittance so I left St John now 800 out of pocket and no closer to being seen.. I left royal perth after a 10 hr wait only to now be back at royal perth in a worse state than before.
