Absolutely appalling experience at SJOG Midland Emergency Department. I arrived at 9am with my father, who had been bleeding heavily from the nose all night. This was the second uncontrolled nosebleed in a week, and home measures had failed. At this point, cauterisation was clearly required. His blood pressure was normal, but the bleeding would not stop. Had a great experience on Sunday evening around 9pm. Saw admin as soon as we entered, then was taken through to the waiting area. It was quite busy but the nurses and doctors were great. Had bloods done and an Xray. Only complaint I have is the lady taking blood pressure didn’t have a clue, repeatedly putting the cuff on the wrong way, watched her do it to 4 other patients. Slightly unnerving to see especially when you’re not feeling well. Other than that it was a great experience.
