Took my 78 year old dad in around 9pm with really sharp ear pain. They did give him an oral painkiller about 9:30-10ish, which we appreciated, but after that we just sat there for hours with no real updates. He finally got his ear looked at and a medication handed over about 5:30am. That’s the whole night gone, both of us wrecked. I get emergencies get prioritised and nights can be hectic, but waiting 8+ hours for a quick check and just one very routine ear med felt pretty rough. Very unprofessional staff. The nurse who served us was very rude and angry. They didn't even know how to be respectful to the patient. They speak very lound and let everyone know what's happening with us. It's ok if you're busy and we have to wait but it doesn't mean you treat us like we're putting Burdon on you? We've been there few times, never had any issue with the doctors but it's always the nurses at the front. Very disappointed with their service

This is the worst ED in Perth. They have all these signs up telling you to inform staff if you have chest pains or deteriorate but when you speak up you’re ignored. I sat in there with a severe migraine with light sensitivity in a bright room for four hours.
