Where do I begin. Went in after getting knocked out in footy and my concussion symptoms were only getting worse after 4 days. The triage nurses, put my pain down as 0 when I clearly said 9 with neck and head pains. They then put my gender down as female as my wife was doing all the talking while the pain was unbearable to speak. Nurse said a bed was getting made but made us wait 4-5 hours while people with twisted ankles got in before us when they came in after us. SHOCKED. I have been a public patient at SJOG for all of my births and have also had surgeries there. I am now at a stage in life where having more children is not viable, so I raised the option of having my tubes tied during a planned C-section. I was told this is not performed at all due to religious reasons, and that I would need to deliver elsewhere if I wanted the procedure done. The triage nurses on reception were the best ladies ever, hard working and very helpful. The reason of 2 stars is the non urgent and extremely slow attitudes of the doctors behind the scenes. We waited 5 hours for a doc to see if there was sensation in the fingers of my friends cast that they put on earlier that afternoon. They called at 1030pm last night sounding all urgent and that's what we waited for. It was disgusting. That time bottle hands been used for someone with more urgent matters.
