I found the information on the website to be somewhat misleading after speaking with the receptionist as it did not clearly state that a GP referral is only to see one of there psychiatrists first before you can access treatments like TMS. It would be helpful if this was made clearer upfront to avoid confusion and make people think it’s easy to get such treatment. I've been here on numerous occasions. The nursing staff are usually decent but this time around a nurse named Usha seriously disappointed me. The way in which see interacted (or didn't) to patients and other staff beneath her (such as new nurses with less experiences, cleaners, cooks etc) was awful, no manners or pleasantries and a heavy expectation of subservience. before starting my review this account is not my real name! not sure why langmore as such bad reviews, i spent some time inpatient on the brighton ward, it was an amazing experience, the facilities are amazing, private large room with heaps of storage a desk and your own bathroom. almost all of the nurses are amazing.. Most of the groups that run through the day can be very good.. matters who’s running the group. Meet some amazing nurses and would love to give them a mention. A family member had a very poor experience here. Lack of communication skills, wasted 6 months waiting and then got told incorrect/conflicting information. Then when WE followed up, we received rude and dismissive treatment from the reception. Not worth a visit, especially when you're going to somewhere to help mental health that needed some extra care and guidance.
Great facilities and programs are available, plus it is a very cozy / safe environment here.
