Get directionsWent in today with personal problem had my bloods and blood pressure checked and waited 4 hours which in this day and age isn’t bad nurse Kingsley and doctor Laura were brilliant kept apologising for the wait but it was busy did and answered all the questions I needed they did there best for me and others they need more staff there admittedly but my wait could of been a lot worse
Why has St James A &E gone 15-20 years backwards in dealing with patients. “The New System/ Area” is totally failing with queues to get even in the door, lack of space for seating , family being asked to leave / separated loved ones and staff themselves even laughing about how bad it is. But they need to add seating in the triage area (I was in for dizzy spells, so didn't appreciate having to stand to go through triage, struggling to hear through an intercom. But certainly better than it was. It would be nice to have more communication, we often didn't know what we were waiting for and that was frustrating.
