One would be better off buying a lab coat at Walmart for $19.99 - have family/friends put on their pajamas to be nurses - and play "doctor" at a beer/pot party than to trust those people with your healthcare...
The staff at St. James VA are all great. However, of the many times I've been there, I saw the same Nurse Practitioner once or twice. They were rotated very frequently. I never saw an M.D, but I understand thats how the VA is saving costs now. On one of my visits I didn't even get to see the NP in person, it was remotely by camera, while I was at the clinic in person. I had a rash on my leg that they were not able to see clearly by camera and I felt I did not get good care in that specific instance. These costs saving attemp... read more
