I had a medical issue on Monday 15/12/25. I have been battling with bronchitis for the last couple of weeks. I was relaxing at home & had a coughing episode & passed out. I awoke with my wife shaking, I was totally confused as to where I was or what had occurred. My wife bundled me into the car & drove me straight to St.Helens emergency. I had a clumsy fall while camping mid February of 2025 and injured my knee. The next day, I was treated at this hospital. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness. The staff were very empathetic and most importantly, my injury was taken seriously. I was given sufficient pain relief, X-rays were taken and an MRI ordered to be done in Hobart. The doctors and nurses at this hospital saved my life when I presented with chest pain. The pain turned out to be a deadly STEMI heart attack, and had it not been for the quick and decisive action carried out by medical staff, I would almost certainly be unable to write this review.
