I had a clumsy fall while camping mid February of 2025 and injured my knee. The next day, I was treated at this hospital. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness. The staff were very empathetic and most importantly, my injury was taken seriously. I was given sufficient pain relief, X-rays were taken and an MRI ordered to be done in Hobart. The doctors and nurses at this hospital saved my life when I presented with chest pain. The pain turned out to be a deadly STEMI heart attack, and had it not been for the quick and decisive action carried out by medical staff, I would almost certainly be unable to write this review. Recently took my 10 year old son there he had fallen and because he showed the nurse how he landed on his arms apparently there was nothing wrong nothing broken was her words got back to town and he was still in pain and not using either hands to him to newstead emergency clinic and oh my two fractured wrist not happy they didn't even pray or anything. I think if I have to go there I the future I will be demanding they do xrays if warranted poor little man had to suffer for three days in pain till we could get back into town

Very impressed with the level of care. My son had terrible food poisoning and we couldn’t find a doctor after hours. Pharmacies were closed as well. I rang, we came in and nurse Siobhan was amazing to him. He was back on his feet, after care there.
