I’ve been dying for the last seven months. After 3 months working with doctors in Argentina I returned to the US is search of “better” medical care. First thing I did was go to the ER and get a referral to infectious disease. They refused the referral and said I needed to find a primary care physician to send one. The last 4 months have been a blur of disorientation and pain as my mind and body have failed more and more.
