What a horrible place this must be. You've had a young lady staying there for less than a week. She has a mental health issue. She said something a little inappropriate and instead if correcting her. This place (people threw her out on street). This place needs to get a grip. You should be helping her anyway you can. I would like to share some feedback and hope it helps someone. I called them one morning and spoke to someone and followed up by an in person visit, Which followed up by more phone calls until this review. Everyone i spoke to or visited told me something different about how things worked :( The final result after 8 days of contact and numerous conversations was if your not a resident homeless person with a county address on your ID we can't help you for shelter and go someplace else :( Even with Florida's new homeless laws, ... read more
There’s no shame in facing difficult times, as life inevitably brings challenges. However, when genuine support is offered, it deserves to be acknowledged just as much as the hardships. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to St. Francis House for giving me and my son the opportunity to return. A year ago, I was asked to leave for being just 11 minutes late, and at the time, I felt there was some ill intent toward us. I was there for a few minutes. 70 Day's. Right now. I'm in My own place again. The staff is different. Just like people are. I seen a lot of things most people would have nightmare's over. But the end result is overwhelming to me. THE MAN CHRIS is impressive and adds to the services they provide. His crew is awesome . I'm in my new front porch. Nice to make it real thank you
Cindy is unprofessional. lacks compassion, and seems to enjoy putting people out for unsubstantiated reasons. This type of work is not her calling, people are just put out without justification or a specified reason. Definitely felt racially motivated. This facility is supposed to be a helpful hand in people's time of need. The Assistant director was informed and has yet to respond.
