Friendly, efficient and professional. Will return if I need ER again.

I had a very disappointing experience with the front desk employee during my recent visit. From the moment I arrived, their demeanor was rude and unprofessional. Instead of greeting me courteously, they barely acknowledged my presence and seemed more focused on chewing gum loudly than assisting guests. The gum-chewing was excessive and highly distracting—it showed a complete lack of respect for the work environment and the people being served. It gave off a careless, unprofessional vibe that is unacceptable for someone repre... read more

went here while having a severe allergic reaction, receptionists and doctors were very kind and attentive, though the nurse (male) i had i cannot say the same for. he was very impatient, condescending, and frankly rude to me as i was on the verge of a panic attack because my vision had gone completely out for minutes on end. kept saying “you’re not listening to me,” “crying won’t help,” and things of that accord when i started hyperventilating and tearing up as he tried to take my blood pressure (meanwhile i could not even S... read more

My practitioner, Dr. Adam Chow, was extremely kind and completely understood my needs and situation. He obviously knew what he was doing and did his best (and succeeded!) in providing the best and most comfortable procedure! Everyone at the ER were compassionate and had the highest degree of expertise in their areas. I left the ER feeling great relief, satisfaction, and immense gratitude for my doctors!

So far I have always had good experiences here. The ER is clean and comfortable with private rooms and the staff are incredibly nice. They are quick to get you in and very attentive. They booked my partner an appointment with a specialist for follow up. We come from Somerville to this hospital because the CHA in Somerville has bad reviews and I was treated horribly at Mt. Auburn last year. St. Elizabeth has always treated us well. Under BMC now it seems the same quality from our recent visit.
