I came to the ER with sudden head and neck pain from lifting — something I was genuinely worried about. I was taken back quickly since the waiting room was empty, but then sat in the exam room for over 40 minutes without anyone checking on me or giving an update. Was told all they had to do was clean a room and a hour later I couldn’t wait anymore due to pain and walked out while the blonde at the front desk and old man beside her talked very rudely about patients family coming in to see their loved ones. She mentioned wanting another job if that tells you their passion for making patients better.

I was told to come here after calling my primary care provider to talk through my symptoms (he is also a part of St. Elizabeth) because he was worried I was having a stroke. I told the ER that one of their doctors thought I was actively having a stroke, and they directed me to sit in the waiting room for over three hours without seeing a doctor of having any tests done. Ironically, I was sitting in the waiting room under the banner saying how they were #1 in stroke care.....
