Called and the amount of constraints and control they try to wield over families is insane. A 5pm curfew, getting told when you can and cannot cook for your children, no devices or lights on after 9pm for a family room, not a singles dorm? Forced to go to NA meetings for recreational marijuana? They must need a reality check. What an insult to people who have no other options.
Tried to get some winter clothes the person I spoke with was not helpful
Just called. Women accused me of having been there before I even provided my name. She refused to share basic information about the shelter. She was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I have literally never been to any shelter in the area. I have only lived here two months. Mental health is real. Get help lady!
