We requested to have a 220 volt, 30 amp circuit breaker installed into an existing panel with existing 40 amp cables to an existing box for a new electric oven. The technician installed a single pole 30 amp circuit breaker and charged $450.00. For this installation, a 220v circuit requires a double pole breaker for one 110v connections to each of the A and B bus.
