My son has autism, he 11 years old and as big as I am. He was disregulated and the PA and the dr were amazing with him. It was also meet your teacher night for middle school, so he was upset he would miss it. There was concern that he had a broken sternum from a very bad fall. Thankfully he was ok. Also the x-ray tech was amazing. He was unable to stand completely still for the x-rays and she gently helped him stay still.
I came in with an awful stomach bug on the day of my daughter’s second birthday. The staff admitted me immediately and got me on fluids quickly. A special thank you to Crystal, a medical assistant, who went above and beyond—when she heard it was my daughter’s birthday, she surprised both of my toddlers with ice cream from the cafeteria to celebrate. Such kindness made a hard day so much brighter.
