This place completely saved my life, it taught me a new way to live and that I am a man, worthy of love and respect. I was mandated by a judge to go there for 3 months. I spent 7 1/2 months there and it was the best thing to happen to me. I am clean and sober since 12/3/23 . I am indebted to all the staff and fellow Brothers Christopher for the sobriety I now enjoy. I haven't had this much sober time since 1986.
I went over a year ago while dealing with drug addiction and alcoholism. My experience at Saint Christopher’s Inn was terrible to say the least. I got in trouble my first day for smoking when I wasn’t supposed to, they didn’t inform me before hand that smoking wasn’t allowed at certain times. The security guards were on a power trip and treated us like prisoners instead of patients who’s insurance was paying to be there. WARNING to prospective new clients: Despite the Supreme Court rulings, all clients of St. Christopher's Inn are compelled to attend 12-step meetings, Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous. All clients who refuse to attend are subjected to punishment under the disguise of community service, ("Manual Labor"). Unfortunately, all clients within the care of St. Christopher's Inn are unaware of these rulings or lack the resources to assert their rights. The counseling staff was Immaculate thanks a lot to Matt Rowe for helping me EXCELLENT COUNSELOR . On the other hand the billing office and the way they handle people State funding and personal needs is disgusting I was up at that office every single day and they lied to me right in my face saying they never received any personal needs cash for me and when I complete the program and leave I find out it was laying in their office the whole time so I left the program and now I have to deal with another two to three weeks of de... read more
