I had a great experience with Casey Law, MD at urgent care in La Pine after a dirt bike accident. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my knee in a way that made sense. What stood out most was his empathy. Brought my SO in for bronchitis/flu symptoms. Waited forever even though we were taken right back and only a couple cars out front. I wish it had been a successful visit. This was a new PA who didn’t even look at his throat or in his ears gave us a prescription for a cough medicine for bronchitis, ruled out pneumonia and that was it. In hindsight I wish I had asked for a Z-Pak because he is still very sick. The other PAs we’ve had have been absolutely excellent. I hope this guy was just filling in. I’ve been to urgent care and hospitals all over the country, and it’s rare to find staff who truly care. Here, the nurse, the phlebotomist, and my doctor were professional and genuinely attentive. They listened, explained things, and made me feel like my health mattered not just a number. This kind of care is rare and much appreciated!
