My autistic son has been admitted to St. Charles Hospital. He requires constant supervision. I was called in to provide overnight supervision. St. Charles staff, the nursing supervisor in particular, ran me out of there like I was carrying the plague. If anything happens to my boy due to lack of supervision, I hold St. Charles liable, because they had someone not only willing and able to provide supervision, but uniquely qualified to do so, and chased me off. Count on it.
They denied my multiple times of my right to informed consent. Even when I asked the nursing supervisor and PA about what tests were being done, I was told I can just refuse it I don’t want them. How would one know if they want if they are not informed? Nursing supervisor and PA said they have too many patients to do that (a federal requirement Patients bill of rights are...) and whatever the Dr wants her just throws it in there and if you don’t like that, you don’t go to the hospital. SHAME ON YOU ST. CHARLES HOSPITAL!!!! Treat your patients properly!!! Not like they are crazy!!! OPEN YOUR EARS AND LISTEN TO THE PATIENT!!!!
St. Charles Orthopedics had numerous surgeries in that hospital, with that team of Doctors.
Love love love the maternity nurses and the delivery nurses.
Recently had knee replacement and rehabilitative care there which was fantastic. Staff was remarkable.
In the early morning hours of February 12, 2020 (3:30 am) I experienced a traumatic and painful miscarriage of a 10.5 week gestation baby. I labored and was in agony for over 10 hours before delivering my baby in my home. After immediately speaking to my OB surgeon he said to go to the ER at 3:30pm, advise the staff I was there, and have him paged when I checked in.
